Wow this trip has really been a culture shock. I'm still trying to get used to it. I keep wanting American food and English-speaking people, but I seem to have a hard time realising that this won't happen for a while. 2-3 weeks probably doesn't seem like a long time to spend in a different country, but to me, it seems like a really long time. We leave for Amsterdam tomorrow, so it should bring some change. Mainly, I'll be hearing Dutch instead of French for two days. Then, we head into Germany. Not sure yet what cities, but I have a few of ideas, mainly small towns. As for Italy, I'm not sure if we'll be able to go to Rome. It's a ways driving to get there, so I'm thinking either maybe we stay in Florence and take a train to Rome, or skip Rome and go to Venice. IDK. These next few weeks should be interesting for us.
