Well today we visited Berchtesgaden. All I can say is, wait until you see the pictures. I cant post them yet because Im on the hotels computer, but oh man. It just took our breaths away. Yesterday in downtown Salzburg was quite an experience also. All I will say is we wanted our car out of this parking garage that was closed, so I pressed this button, and it wasn't the right button, ........and came some fire trucks. Hehehehehe. I will probably posts a lot more pics tomorrow nights. Tomorrow we are seeing the Salzburg Salt Mines and taking a cruise on Lake Koeniggsee. Should be fun. Later yall.

Yummy

As you can see we visited Frankfurt today. I liked this city; one of the reasons being I could understand some of what I was seeing and hearing. Had a genuine German bratwurst, and it was excellant of course. Europe is really fascinated with shoes and clothes it seems. Every block seems to have a clothes store. Tomorrow we leave for Salzburg, where we will spend 3 full days exploring the area, and then its off to Paldova, where from we will travel and see Venice for a day. From there its off to Modena, where the Ferrari factory is near; and then to Pisa, to see the leaning tower of Pisa, and then through Monaco. Later gators

Amsterdam has really been sweet. Our hotel has really been a stress reliever. They serve breakfast, which is sooooooo nice. The city is geared towards young people mainly, and people with a sense in fashion, because there are a billion shops that sell shoes. What sweet is most people speak english, which is reaaaaallllyyy nice. Also, not many weed bars as I observed. Well maybe I didn't look in the right places. Oh well. The erotic side of the city was prevalent also. Mom sort of steered me away from those places of course. The city was really bustling with people also. Just filled. We took a canal ride, which was alright, aside from the fact I felt like sleeping the whole time. Tomorrow we leave for Offenbach, which is right outside Frankfurt, which currently or just did have an international car show go on. Ibis hotels have really been useful, mainly because they are abundant, and they have a good WiFi service. So, off to bed, and to a day of driving tomorrow. Laters

Wow this trip has really been a culture shock. I'm still trying to get used to it. I keep wanting American food and English-speaking people, but I seem to have a hard time realising that this won't happen for a while. 2-3 weeks probably doesn't seem like a long time to spend in a different country, but to me, it seems like a really long time. We leave for Amsterdam tomorrow, so it should bring some change. Mainly, I'll be hearing Dutch instead of French for two days. Then, we head into Germany. Not sure yet what cities, but I have a few of ideas, mainly small towns. As for Italy, I'm not sure if we'll be able to go to Rome. It's a ways driving to get there, so I'm thinking either maybe we stay in Florence and take a train to Rome, or skip Rome and go to Venice. IDK. These next few weeks should be interesting for us. Hopefully its fun. Later gators.

Today we visited Saint Maire Egleis. Pretty small town. The Cemetary was pretty neat. We walked down to the beach. Omaha beach. I wished I could have swam in it. It was weird to imagine that on D-Day, this was crawling with ships and troops. Tomorrow we leave for Amsterdam. Should be a long drive, but again we're staying in an Ibis. Good thing is we don't have to drive into the city. We're taking a train right into town. Yippy!
